Toss, Korea Minting and Security Printing Corp Complete Verification of Blockchain-Based Local Currency Payment System
- Toss and KOMSCO completed a PoC for a 'blockchain-based public payment infrastructure' on the 18th, following up on an April strategic MOU.
- The test verified whether blockchain-based digital currency can be linked with existing public payment infrastructure for regional gift certificates (local currency vouchers).
- The two organizations built an isolated test environment covering the full cycle: charging voucher tokens, payment, and merchant settlement.
