"US SEC pushing crypto-asset public offering rules — Korea also needs reshoring"
Kim Jong-seung, CEO of MRI, spoke at a September 22 seminar on US crypto fundraising policy and Korea's digital asset legislation, held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Seoul's Yeongdeungpo-gu.
He said the U.S. SEC is advancing 'Regulation Crypto Assets,' a dedicated public offering framework for digital assets, aimed at attracting issuance activity and business hubs to the United States.
He warned that if finalized, the rule could pull technology and capital from countries including Korea toward the U.S., underscoring the need for a domestic reshoring policy.
