National Assembly's Planning and Finance Committee Reviews Crypto Tax Deferral Bills in Plenary Session
The Planning and Finance Committee reviews two Income Tax Act amendment bills seeking to postpone digital asset taxation, at a plenary session starting 2 p.m. on the 28th.
Rep. Jeong Seong-kook's bill proposes a three-year deferral, while Rep. Kim Sang-hoon's bill proposes a two-year deferral; both lawmakers belong to the People Power Party.
This is the committee's second review of anti-crypto-taxation legislation, following its referral in July of Rep. Song Eon-seok's bill to abolish digital asset taxation to a subcommittee.
