The Ministry of Justice announced on the 29th that new appointments and transfer-related personnel changes — covering 2 newly appointed prosecutors at the Prosecution Service prosecutor level, 27 transferred Prosecution Service prosecutors, 152 transferred regional Prosecution Service prosecutors, and 11 general prosecutors — will take effect on October 2.
The Joint Investigation Unit for Virtual Assets, previously dedicated to investigating virtual asset (digital asset) related crimes, is being restructured into the Serious Crimes Prosecution Division 3.
Since existing prosecutors at the Prosecutors' Office are considered Prosecution Service prosecutors under the new system, cases involving only a change of affiliated office name (from Prosecutors' Office to Prosecution Service) without any change in organizational structure do not require separate personnel orders; only changes to position titles or department/division names require action.
