"Virtual Asset Order Book Sharing Should Be Allowed Only on a Limited Basis" [FSC/KIF Commissioned Report (2)]
The Korea Institute of Finance (KIF) submitted a report to the Financial Services Commission (FSC) at the end of last year recommending limited, conditional permission for virtual asset order book sharing between exchanges.
Under Korea's Act on Reporting and Using Specified Financial Transaction Information, order book (quote) sharing between exchanges is prohibited in principle and allowed only if certain requirements are satisfied.
KIF flagged that because order book sharing functions as part of exchanges' business model, it raises Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) concerns that need to be addressed.
