Regulatory Gap in ICO Rules Pushes Token Issuance Overseas…DAXA Proposes Domestic Return Procedure
DAXA released its '2026 Second-Half Digital Asset Policy Report' on October 7, featuring analysis by Hansung University professor Jaewoo Cho.
Since South Korea's 2017 ICO ban, the lack of clear token issuance rules has led domestic projects to issue tokens and manage contracts/assets overseas rather than domestically.
Cho proposes that legislation explicitly define token issuance standards and create a formal procedure allowing overseas-based business functions to return to Korea.
