'GOPAX, Prabank' Included... Breach Incidents Confirmed in Crypto Industry as Well
- A total of 16 financial firms across all sectors—banks, savings banks, mutual finance cooperatives, credit-specialized finance, electronic finance, online investment-linked finance, and virtual asset service providers—were confirmed to have suffered breaches around the time of the Shinhan Bank incident.
- Among virtual asset service providers, Streami (operator of the GOPAX exchange) and Prabank were confirmed to have experienced intrusion incidents.
- The findings were announced on October 14 at the FSC's second emergency response meeting, chaired by Secretary-General Shin Jin-chang with participation from the FSS and FSI.
