GOPAX: 7 Customers' Personal Data Breached... Regulators Confirm 16 Incidents Across Financial Sector
The FSC announced at an October 14 interagency meeting that it had confirmed breaches at 16 financial companies occurring around the time of the Shinhan Bank incident.
The affected list includes Streami (operator of crypto exchange GOPAX), virtual asset business Prabank, and various banks, savings banks, and credit-specialized financial firms.
Streami reported abnormal login attempts on some GOPAX customer accounts, detected via its fraud/anomaly detection system, affecting 7 customers; the FSC will probe for additional breaches and tighten security oversight.
