JPYC Signs MOU with SBJ Bank and LINE NEXT to Pilot Bank-Account-Linked Charging
- The three companies will run a PoC on an account-linked charging function that connects bank accounts to digital wallets, designing the flow from bank account linkage to stablecoin issuance and wallet reflection.
- SBJ Bank (a Japan-based bank under South Korea's Shinhan Financial Group, established in 2009) and LINE NEXT also agreed to a separate bilateral strategic partnership to consider commercializing remittance and payment services.
- This follows a January 20 basic MOU between JPYC Inc. and LINE NEXT; LINE NEXT officially launched the Unifi wallet in March with JPYC adopted, and JPYC Inc. said in July that Unifi had become its largest partner by JPYC circulation volume. JPYC, registered as a funds transfer service provider in August 2025 and issued since October 2025, is currently issued on four chains: Avalanche, Ethereum, Polygon, and Kaia.
