Deputy PM Lee Hyung-il: "Will Reach a Conclusion on Digital Asset Taxation After Gathering Views from All Sides"
- Deputy PM Lee Hyung-il made the remarks on October 22 during the National Assembly Finance and Economy Planning Committee's audit of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
- The comments came in response to a question from Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Hu-deok regarding the digital asset taxation scheme set to launch in January next year.
- Lee said the government will comprehensively weigh National Assembly and industry opinions, along with institutional preparedness, before reaching a final conclusion, as calls for additional delay persist.
