PSPD: "Don't Keep Delaying Crypto Taxation Under the Pretext of Helping Young People"

  • PSPD's Tax and Fiscal Reform Center demanded the government and National Assembly halt talks on further delaying digital asset taxation and enforce it on schedule from January next year.
  • The statement was issued in response to media reports that the presidential office (Cheong Wa Dae) plans to delay digital asset taxation again, citing support for young people's asset formation.
  • The Center noted that implementation has already been postponed three times since the law was enacted in 2020, and warned that another delay would undermine the principle of taxing asset income and erode trust in tax policy.
