South Korea to Require Transaction-by-Transaction Reporting of Cross-Border Crypto Transfers From Dec. 3, Affecting 1.27 Million Users
The rule takes effect December 3, mandating individual (transaction-by-transaction) reporting of cross-border crypto transfers instead of periodic or aggregated reporting.
More than 1.27 million users are estimated to be covered by the new cross-border crypto transfer reporting requirement.
The measure is part of South Korea's broader effort to strengthen monitoring of foreign-exchange and capital flows conducted via cryptocurrency.
