Civic Group: Push to Extend Crypto Tax Deferral Undermines Tax Equity, Condemns Government and Ruling Party
PSPD condemned the government and Democratic Party's push to delay virtual asset income taxation by an additional two years, calling it damaging to tax equity.
The group pointed out that taxation has already been postponed three times, delaying implementation by six years, and called insufficient readiness an inadequate excuse for further delay.
PSPD rejected the government's justifications—difficulty obtaining overseas transaction data and the need to enact a digital asset law first—specifically challenging claims tied to the crypto-asset automatic information exchange system (CARF).
