Myanmar parliament passes bill on digital asset fraud with ‘up to life imprisonment’... death penalty for scam rings

- The bill allows sentences ranging from a minimum of 10 years’ imprisonment to life imprisonment for digital asset fraud crimes.
- If a forced-labor victim dies during the operation of an online scam organization, the law permits the death penalty.
