National Assembly Strategy and Finance Committee to Review Bipartisan Bills on Delaying Crypto Taxation
The National Assembly Strategy and Finance Committee reviewed the bills at its November 3 plenary session.
Rep. Kim Jae-seop's bill proposes delaying the start of digital asset taxation by three years, to January 1, 2030, and also requires virtual asset business operators to provide traders with the data needed to calculate income from the transfer or lending of digital assets.
Rep. Park Min-gyu separately proposed his own amendment bill to delay the same taxation deadline, currently set for January 1, 2027 under existing law.
