About

ACCESS, the Association of Cryptocurrency Enterprises and Startups, Singapore, is an industry association for Singapore's cryptocurrency and blockchain sector. It also calls itself the Singapore Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Industry Association. It was founded on 30 May 2014 and is a registered society. It has corporate, individual and student members, who must follow its code of conduct.

ACCESS says it aims to be a united public voice for Singapore's cryptocurrency and blockchain community. Its work covers advocacy for members, dialogue between industry and regulators, and education through seminars and workshops.

ACCESS has responded to MAS consultations for about a decade. In 2016 it held a members' roundtable and sent feedback on MAS's proposed regulatory sandbox. In its response to MAS's 2022 stablecoin consultation, published in August 2023, it supported the focus on single-currency stablecoins. It opposed extending MAS powers to stablecoins issued outside Singapore. It also warned that agreed-upon-procedures attestations may not be enough to check reserves. It responded confidentially to MAS's 2024 DTSP consultation, which included an anti-money laundering notice for the sector.

Policy engagement

Responded to MAS's consultations on the digital token service provider regime and on AML/CFT rules for organised market operators; MAS published its response to feedback in May 2025.
