About

The Thai Digital Asset Operators Trade Association (TDO) is a trade association of licensed digital asset businesses in Thailand. Eight firms founded it on 23 March 2021: Upbit Exchange (Thailand), Zipmex (Thailand), Satang Corporation, ERX, SE Digital, Coins TH, Bitazza and GMO-Z.com Cryptonomics (Thailand). Membership is open to licensed digital asset operators and token offering portals.

TDO says it aims to support the industry's growth while complying with rules set by the Thai SEC and other authorities, and to provide a channel for dialogue with regulators. It also runs training, including a Digital Asset for Operators course launched in 2025 with funding from the Capital Market Development Fund, covering governance, AML, cybersecurity and tax.

Much of its policy work is on AML and scam prevention. It has run workshops with the SEC and police on screening mule accounts, and in 2024 the SEC directed operators to follow TDO best practice on detecting suspicious accounts and KYC. In March 2026 it took part in the Anti-Money Laundering Office's consultation on AML guidelines for digital asset businesses. In August 2026 its chair proposed stronger internal controls, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certification, and proof of reserves to rebuild investor trust.
