Sanchuan Tongzheng (BitstreetX) Completes Registration, Taiwan's VASP Registrants Rise to 11

  • BitstreetX (business registration number 90607767) obtained approval for all four VASP business types — exchange, trading platform, transfer, and custody — with paid-in capital of NT$111 million, led by responsible person Lai Chia-hsien and registered in Taipei's Songshan District; it plans to bring all four lines online after joining the VASP association.
  • BitstreetX had appeared on the list under the old AML compliance-declaration regime but was rejected in August 2025 after the switch to the registration system, missing the first registration batch in September 2025; it resubmitted and passed review, completing registration on September 24, 2026. Separately, the FSC had fined BitstreetX NT$1.5 million in July 2025 for AML deficiencies in customer due diligence, ongoing transaction monitoring, and record-keeping — the same month HOYA BIT, XREX, and ZONE Wallet were also penalized for AML shortcomings.
  • Of the 11 registered VASPs, 8 hold trading-platform licenses — HOYA BIT, ZONE Wallet, MaiCoin/MAX, Chainss/Atrix, BitoPro, XREX, TSG EX, and BitstreetX — while TWEX holds exchange, transfer, and custody licenses, KryptoGO Transfer holds only a transfer license, and Liminal Taiwan holds only a custody license; per Central News Agency, all 11 may continue operating during the transition but must apply to the FSC for a formal license within 12 months after the Virtual Asset Service Act takes effect.
