Hong Kong Securities and Futures Professionals Association (HKSFPA)
香港證券及期貨專業總會
Professional body for securities and futures practitioners
About
The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Professionals Association (HKSFPA, 香港證券及期貨專業總會) was established on 22 January 2002. It was formerly called the Hong Kong Securities & Futures Industry Staff Union. It is registered under the Trade Unions Ordinance and belongs to the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions. Mofiz Chan chairs its 2025 to 2028 council.
The association says it has more than 3,000 active members. They work in securities, futures, asset management and other activities regulated by the SFC. It runs continuous professional training (CPT) courses and represents practitioners to the government and regulators. It is also a designated body in the financial services subsector of the Chief Executive Election Committee.
Since 2025 the association has filed detailed responses to FSTB and SFC consultations on virtual asset dealing, custody, advisory and management services. It has also met regulators to raise practitioner concerns about licensing, compliance costs and qualification exams. Its submissions give a view from licensed brokers and intermediaries rather than from crypto-native firms.
