Four Pillars
포필러스
Crypto research firm focused on Asia
On the Asia Digital Asset Policy Center
Asia does not have one crypto policy. It has dozens, written in a dozen languages and moving at different speeds. The question we hear most from founders, institutions and officials is simple: what is actually allowed here, and where does it say so?
The Asia Digital Asset Policy Center is our answer. Every rule is traced to the body that wrote it, every licence to its register, and every week's local news is summarised in English. It is the research tool we wanted for ourselves.
We see it as shared infrastructure. Regulators, lawmakers and industry across the region should be able to point to the same facts, and the Advisory Network exists to keep those facts current and honest.
About
Four Pillars (포필러스) is a blockchain research company based in Seoul. It was set up in May 2023 by a small group of co-founders who had worked in research at Korean blockchain firms and large companies. Kim Nam-woong (Steve) is its CEO.
The firm now runs three divisions: FP Research, which publishes analysis in Korean and English with a focus on Korea, Japan and the wider Asian market; FP Validated, which operates validator and node infrastructure on proof-of-stake networks; and FP Institution, which advises banks, asset managers, exchanges and corporates on stablecoin, tokenisation and market-entry strategy. It raised KRW 700 million from Kakao Ventures, Hashed and Base Investment in January 2024, and a Series A led by Pantera Capital with Further Ventures in April 2026 at a valuation of about KRW 30 billion.
On policy, Four Pillars co-hosted a May 2025 seminar with Hashed Open Research on the design of a won stablecoin, joined the Tokenized Asset Coalition in August 2025, and co-founded the Asia Stablecoin Alliance. In September 2026 it sponsored a National Assembly seminar on digital-asset financial innovation, agreed joint investor-protection research with FnGuide, and launched the Four Pillars Advisory Network to connect Asian institutions with global blockchain firms.
